Bush for Bush Week

13, September 2007 · Leave a Comment

RainbowReturned on Tuesday evening from about five days in the bush, having fled the overwhelming “security” regime that was established for the APEC meeting here in Sydney.

I am pleased to report that in my bush location there was no helicopter surveillance of my morning qigong practise and only on one occasion I may have been observed briefly by a single, silent eagle circling above.

Returning home to Sydney I found all is peaceful and relatively quiet again. The fence has been removed.

Entering the police state

Declared AreaMy qigong practise at Pyrmont Point this morning was charmingly accompanied by helicopters circling above. The noise of choppers has continued on and off all day and at one moment it sounded as though one was about to land on the roof.

There are large groups of police everywhere on the streets.

When going out for lunch I passed a sign that informed me that I was in a “Declared Zone” and thus had reduced rights (see picture).

To protect democracy, we had to cancel it.
